Rituals of Love Spring Look Book

Our annual look book shoot gives us an opportunity to pull some of our favourite pieces from different designers and showcase them in one collection whilst working with some of our some of our loved local industry vendors. This team of people each comes with a fresh perspective and unique approach to bridal; we are always honoured to work with them.

This years team included The talented Whitney Krutzfeldt as our photographer, Save The Date Beauty, who are an incredible, I have always found wedding makeup to be too heavy and these two have shown quite the opposite; makeup that is natural and beautiful in person and on camera. Our beautiful models are Brooke Alexandra and help from Karina who came in to help us coordinate but is so beautiful we asked her to stand in as a second model.

We shot up in Britannia Beach at my friend Paulina’s home, which is also available to rent on Air Bnb (see link below in credits). This home is a modern west coast architectural masterpiece, boasting high ceiling, smooth concrete floors, accent cedar finishings and views of Howe Sound.

The Save The Date hair and makeup team, knows fresh, dewy, natural and bold all at once. Yes, these two gorgeous models are both wearing a fair amount of makeup without looking like it.

You may notice throughout this look book that I am drawn towards soft, textural fabrics, silk linings, gowns that highlight feminine curves and move with you. I also cannot hide my love for colour in bridal and anything that makes a dress unique.

I love being shocked by what a bride wears and seeing someone wear something that is out of the ordinary, after all you don’t get to dress like this everyday. I always ask my brides to choose a gown that truly excites them, makes them feel extremely beautiful and wow their guests at the same time.
