A true journey from childhood friendship to love. Separated by cities with intermittent meetings through school and summer camps, from the ages of 6 and 4, Lauren and David have always found their way back to each other.  During a brief life together abroad in Honolulu, the couple's relationship truly began to blossom. Once an intimate destination wedding was decided on, Hawaii was the natural choice. The flora and fauna of the tropics was the only decor needed to create the magic while a unique polynesian inspired dinner spread added a beautiful evening. Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch was never a question. With views of the Kane’ohe bay and Ko’olau mountain range, it was a picturesque dreamscape fit for the silver screen. A landmark known for its appearance in Jurassic Park, Lauren and David’s family arrived to an instrumental version of the film’s theme. 

Perfectly suited for a sunny Hawaiian wedding, Lauren wore our Ophelia Gown by Daughters of Simone. A perfectly unique crocheted lace two piece. The scalloped trim on the top falls off the shoulders while the long skirt fits through the hip and flares out below the knee, sweeping out into a full train. To compliment the gown: the matching, cathedral length, Athena veil with a crocheted lace trim. A true bohemian look with the best elements of classic bridal. 

 Laurens advice for brides searching for their dress: 

"Keep an open mind. I didn’t have any major expectations during my search but knew the type of dress that typically flattered my body (more form fitting to highlight my curves). and I knew I wanted something suited for a Hawaiian wedding. After trying on a few gowns, one of which I really liked, the consultant suggested trying on a 2 piece. This was never really on my radar but I liked the look of what she brought and figured I would give it a go. As soon as I put the dress on I knew it was the one. It was 100% me and flattered my body so well. I would have never ever picked this dress out on my own off the rack and so I owe this find completely to the consultant we were working with. Trust them and their judgement and keep an open mind - you may just find the dress you were looking for!"
